When will it happen?

We are currently in the process of raising the significant amount of money outstanding for this project. This includes raising funds locally, such as the production of HMS Pinafore last year and our regular refreshment stall at Barnes Fair. We are also actively seeking grants from local and national bodies. 

After a very unfortunate delay, Richmond-upon-Thames Borough Council finally granted planning permission for the new roof on 3 March. Sadly, they refused our application for solar panels, which would have been more energy efficient, on aesthetic grounds. However, at least this means we can now make a start on the project. 

Our architect has gone out to tender and we are just finalising our choice of contractor.  If everything proceeds smoothly (COVID-19 permitting), we hope to start work early in the New Year. The work will, obviously, require significant amounts of scaffolding and will be weather-dependent. We shall endeavour to keep the local community up to date with all our plans.
