Study Groups / Bible Study

As well as meeting for Sunday worship every week, we regularly get together for group study sessions, which are usually run by Deacon Ricard Goldstraw. 

This summer we have a study group meeting throughout July:

Join us for a new Thursday morning study group starting on Thursday, 2 July at 10.30am at Barnes Methodist Church.

Divine heart of darkness book

Deacon Richard Goldstraw will be leading us and we will be looking at the book, The Divine Heart of Darkness by Cathy Bird.  All are welcome to join us at these friendly, informal sessions over tea and coffee.

Do join us if you can.  It doesn't matter if you can't make all the dates, you can drop in when you like.

Community classes for adults and children

We have a variety of different group classes for all ages throughout the week, including yoga, pilates, adult ballet, karate, Tai Chi and general fitness for adults of all ages. We also have a cooking group, as well as homeopathist and a psychotherapist (for adults) who use our Church to run their appointments.  We also have a choir that rehearse and we are the venue for community events, such as the Barnes Fragrance Fair in May and the Barnes Children's Literary Festival in June.
