Hire of Premises

  Our premises are in demand for local community events and various clubs and classes
and we welcome the life that these groups bring.
You'll find below a list of rooms which are available for hire.
We don't quote rates here, because there are different rates for charities,
non-profit-making community groups, and commercial activities.
Should you be interested in booking a room for a regular or one-off event then please contact
the church office.

Hire of rooms requires a deposit, returnable when the premises are left clean and tidy after use. 
There is a formal rental agreement containing the terms of hire. 
Public events requiring payment for entry should be covered by an entertainment licence. 
Please note that the Methodist Church nationally does not allow alcohol
to be brought onto or consumed on their premises. 


Our rooms
On the ground floor, which has toilet facilities and a large well-equipped kitchen to commercial standard,
there are the following meeting rooms:

the Main Hall seats up to 80, and can be used for exercise groups, parties and larger meetings.

On the upper floor is the Sanctuary which can comfortably seat up to 240 people. 
There is a lift, and an accessible toilet.  The space includes a small kitchen and a WC.
As this is our church worship area the Sanctuary may only be used for events which
in the opinion of the Management Group are compatible with our Christian ethos. 
This may include, for example, concerts (the acoustics are rated excellent by musicians)
and lectures,
for which a sound system and loop are available. 
It is very unlikely, however, that the up
per floor can be used for social events.
